Day 59 - February 28

 

My friend's son, a little cranky because he needs a nap and we couldn't find his binky. Never fear, it was found and once the car got on the road the nap followed!

Day 58 - February 27

 

Bella is an indoor cat although she was a stray when she moved in. Once she walked in my house she has not even shown one bit of desire to go back out. Of course, she does like to see what I'm doing out there! Naturally, taking pictures of the snow as you can see by the reflection in the window!

Day 57 - February 26

 

This is Dani, my friend Vicki's new daughter-in-law.  I was the photographer for Mark and Dani's wedding last night.  

Day 56 - February 25

 

I work at a gender-specific middle school.  We have boys classes and girls classes.  Cell phones haven't been too much of an issue in my girls classes...but the boys wear me out!  I have to collect them at the beginning of class or I'd be spending half the class dealing with them.  This is the cell phone basket and today it had more phones than usual.  

Day 55 - February 24

 

Wishful thinking?  Yes, it is!  It was actually snowing when I brought these poor tulips outside to get a picture! 

Day 54 - February 23

 

I teach classes at a local scrapbook store a few times a month. I was there tonight teaching a layout class and it seems I always end up looking at this display of Copic markers over and over again....even though I have every single color sold at the store (and more.....yikes!). Can you say 'obsession'

Day 53 - February 22

 

Me Monday....this is me on a Monday morning just getting into school realizing I left my laptop at home...I know just where it is....sitting by the door to my garage so I won't forget it! I really needed it for what I had in my lesson plans for today, but that's the way it goes. It's Monday!

Day 52 - February 21

 

This is my friend, Becca and her little 'babies'. I went over to take maternity photos and these 3 sat so patiently in while we took pictures for over an hour! They minute they were allowed, they couldn't wait to give Becca some love!

Day 51 - February 20

 

This was the Valentine gift that my friend Keri received from her husband. She was surprised and we all agree that she cannot eat them!

 

My Bella....all curled up and comfortable on my bed as I had out to work....what a life!!

Day 49 - February 18

 

This is where you can find me everyday.....7:30 to 4ish, and even on the weekends when the building is quiet. It's my 5th room in this school (I think). I've taught here as a teacher of the hearing impaired, then as a 8th/9th grade math teacher when it was a jr. high...then as an 8th grade teacher when it became a middle school. Then I left for 6 years. Then I came back! 

Day 48 - February 17

 

Can't be creative everyday! LOL...this is just a view of my china cabinet...little collectables, my mom's tea cups, antiques, etc....I generally don't keep many knick knackie things....just clutters things up. This is the only place I have stuff like that.

Day 47 - February 16

 

I rarely, rarely ever eat meals like this! But the kids had another snow day but the teachers had to report to work. Naturally, we all get excited to go out to eat...something we never get to do on our jobs. A few of us tried a new 50's diner called Happy Days and let me tell you...that was one awesome cheeseburger! Worth every single calorie!!

Day 46 - February 15

 

This is our February book for my book club. I am really a book club failure....I don't always get around to reading the book. I have to finish this by next Monday...I think I can, I think I can....it's really good so far!!

Day 45 - February 14

 

I decided this was the day I was going to get out of my house or my job to get a photo! This lake is near my house and I have never been there before today. I was surprised at how big it was and at how many people were fishing.

Still trying to play around with exposure and lighting....not mastered yet! LOL

Day 43 - February 12

 

The kids had their Valentine Social today. It's really our way to honor the kids who make the honor roll. We ask the kids to dress up, they get their awards, then we play music and serve cake. Never in my wildest dreams did I think the boys in my homebase would get dress up. It's a motley crew!

Day 42 - February 11

 

This is the year to adopt new math textbooks...and, I'm on the textbook adoption committee. So, math books, math book, math book everywhere! This is just a little glimpse of the books we need to review.

Yes, another picture of my cat. Someday I hope to get out and show you some beautiful scenery...without sliding off a mountain! Until then....isn't she pretty?

It's Me Monday...I knew I had a busy day today, so I brought my little point and shoot to work. Kathy is the science teacher on my team and I'm so lucky to work with her!

Day 38 - February 7

 

I thought this was a good one for today...we had a 'great escape' from the big blizzard this weekend and I was able to escape for a few hours to see 'Dear John'

Day 37 - February 6

 

A huge blizzard was forecast this weekend, and unbelievable, it missed us!!  So, I was excited to attend a baby shower today!

Day 36 - February 5

 

This is Bella's usual place while I'm on the computer....if she gets tired she goes onto the ottoman....as a matter of fact, that's where she is right now!

Day 35 - February 4

 

Looks like I have a theme going on this week....not planned.  Anyway, these guys didn't finish a test during their class period so they just moved themselves to the back of the room to finish...looked kind of funny to me.  (Do you think the boy in gray is cheating?)

It's been a long week and it's only Wednesday!  Full Moon and Middle Schools just don't go together very well!

I had several shots I liked, but I picked this one because of the classroom reflection in the safety glasses (science class).

I'm smiling because I'm leaving work! It wasn't too bad of a day, but that last class wore me out! Monday is over!
